Giardini Reali in Venice are open again after a complex restoration process, promoted and realized by the Venice Gardens Foundation.
Giving this place back to the city is extremely valuable for Venice.
On this occasion, Locatelli Partners designed the interiors for the Coffee Pavilion, using typical raw materials amongst the excellence in the Venetian tradition.
Antiqued mirror, brass, velvet, brocade, and blown cast glass are the main actors of this design. The shape of the chairs evokes Piazza San Marco, while it’s materials – brass, ropes – recall the Giardini, with a hint of brass and curved glass for the interiors. Reds take over the palette.
The walls seamlessly reproduce the old greenhouses design, while the floor is realized with smooth concrete, a revised, contemporary version of Venetian Seminato, constantly recalling the grovel at the Gardens.
